Mummichogs are estuarine minnows that ranges from northeastern Florida to the Gulf of St, Lawrence, have a small homerange, and can tolerate a wide range of salinities. Because they are found throughout the eastern seaboard of the United States, and demonstrates a unique ability to tolerate wide salinity and temperature ranges, they are suitable for many toxicological and physiological studies. The following webpages provide some background on the mummichog and our research, as well as links. Furthermore, the arrays and blast pages, respectively, provide information on genes recently sequenced partially or completely, and a Blast page against ESTs and sequenced mummichog genes deposited on GenBank.
