SOUTH AMERICAN ROTIFERS

Because both visitors from other countries (mostly Europeans) and local researchers have been active, this vast territory has had more work on it than many regions. And yet, we can honestly say that little is really known about the rotifers of Central and South America. Much of the early work took place in the 1930s, which was then followed by a long hiatus until the last two decades of the 1900s.
